Entergy Louisiana (an Entergy Corporation subsidiary) is a power provider serving over 1 million customers across 58 parishes in Louisiana. In October 2016, Entergy contracted Dashiell Engineering (a Quanta Services company (PWR:NYSE)) to reconstruct 15 miles of 230kV and 6.8 miles of 500kV transmission line near Lake Charles on a turn-key basis.

Irby (also a Quanta Services company) was subcontracted to Dashiell to rebuild the lines, including foundations, steel, and concrete poles. Irby was assisted by Auger Services for pole setting/foundations and WInco for helicopter wire operations. Irby also performed conductor stringing works (1 mile) across the Calcasieu River. The project was completed in February 2018 to schedule and without lost-time incident.
