EXPERIENCE

From urban areas to remote corners of the world, our crews have worked through mountains and valleys in every season under the sun.

Whether the work takes us miles across a swamp or into temperatures well below zero, the mission is the same—safe delivery of quality work.

The variety of working conditions in which we’ve created success stories proves our adaptability—a quality we hold paramount as we leverage our past to build the future.

  • Since 1946, Irby has installed more than 185,000 miles of power lines in 43 states and 8 countries.
  • We have worked in temperatures ranging from negative 50 degrees to more than 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Irby was the first company to construct 765kV lines in the U.S. We were also the first to use helicopters in transmission line construction.
  • Irby clients include the nation’s largest investor-owned power providers as well as municipalities and cooperatives.
