President Signs Cybersecurity Order Focused on Power Grid
On May 11, President Trump signed an executive order that included provisions to protect federal networks and assess the electric grid’s ability to respond to a cyber attack.
Industry representatives responded positively. The Edison Electric Institute was quoted saying, its members “appreciate President Trump making cybersecurity for critical infrastructure a top priority, and we look forward to working with the administration to ensure industry and government continue to work closely together to protect the energy grid.”
