Five-Man Crews
A Journeyman Lineman at Irby Construction Company classification will have received their training in an approved forty-two (42) month apprenticeship program or a certified testing program or must have five (5) years of continuous substation/line construction/maintenance experience. Journeyman Linemen shall have a working knowledge of all aspects of substation/line work and have the capability and expertise to work independently if required. THE DISTRIBUTION JOURNEYMAN OPENINGS WILL BE FROM NEW ORLEANS TO LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA.

OPERATIONS SUPPORT COORDINATOR
Operations Support Coordinator
An Operations Support Coordinator at Irby Construction Company’s primary function is supporting the Operations Department in generating proposals and setting up awarded jobs. This position will facilitate effective operation of the department through coordination and implementation of office procedures, document management, and special projects.

TRANSMISSION PROJECT MANAGER
Transmission Project Manager
Transmission Project Manager at Irby Construction Company shall possess a minimum of eight to ten (8-10) years of transmission construction experience. The individual will possess all the skills required for assignment as a Project Manager for any craft within his/her area of responsibility. Such an employee shall also have in depth knowledge of all applicable OSHA codes and standards. Must be able to direct multiple crews.

SUBSTATION ESTIMATOR
Substation Estimator
Substation Estimators at Irby Construction Company shall possess a minimum of four years of substation estimating experience. The individual will possess all the skills required for assignment as a Substation Estimator for any craft within his/her area of responsibility. Such an employee shall also have in depth knowledge of all applicable OSHA codes and standards.
